The idea to start WVHN was sparked when the people who would soon make up the membership of West Virginia Horse Network, INC., rallied passionately around a senior horse in need.
In December 2014 we were officially recognized as a federal 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. We have had the true honor of helping hundreds of horses find forever homes and give them the life they deserve. West Virginia Horse Network is committed to making a difference and offering a second chance and new beginning.

Upcoming Events
Riding-Potential Horses
Riding-Potential Horses are defined as being broke to ride, or capable of being trained. While they may range widely in age, our vet has determined they are suitable for riding if desired.
Companion Horses
Companion Horses aren’t able to be ridden for medical or age reasons, and will be more suitable for in-hand obstacle courses or retirement pasture grazing.
Golden Day Club Eligible
Golden Day Club horses are our ones ready for their sweet “Golden Years.” Horses in this program are either senior or occasionally younger horses that require special treatment due to medical reasons.
